Saint Edmund Gennings
English Martyr - Elizabethan Priest
Hanged, drawn and quartered aged 24 in 1591

The life of Saint Edmund Gennings, one of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales is brought to life in a docudrama that traces his fascinating journey steeped in Elizabethan England's politics, history and Religion.

His story is not for the faint hearted, for he was a young and determined man who risked his life for the Catholic Church in Elizabethan England.

Arrested with Fr. Polydore Plasden at the house of Saint Swithun Wells, he endured horrific tortures and a violent death where his heart was ripped out.

He looked upon his heart and cried "Saint Gregory, Pray for me!"  He was 24 years old.

With specially portrayed footage of his life and death, sacred art and historical imagery, this is an important resource on the great witness of one of our Forty Martyrs of England and Wales.
