John Houghton, Saint, DVD

Saint John Houghton:

A prayerful and spiritual journey with the Tudor Carthusian Prior and English Martyr Saint John Houghton. Saint John Houghton was executed by King Henry VIII when he refused to swear to the Oath of Supremacy. As he was led from Tower Hill to Tyburn, Saint Thomas More watched him go to his death as though he was a bridegroom going to his marriage. His life had been a humble and holy witness to the Catholic Faith in England and his martyrdom was a powerful and moving example to all. With an original atmospheric, monastic and contemplative music score this film offers a prayerful journey through his life, pausing for reflection especially on his Carthusian spirituality.

In 2007 Mary's Dowry productions created a new form of film media to present the lives of the saints.
