It's the lead up to Black Friday in The Secondhand Bookworm, a rambling, three story bookshop with rooms full of shelves full of every kind, and any kind, of book, upon book, upon book! A treasure trove of bargains awaits the keen bibliophile in the new Bargain Book Yard at the back of the bookshop, but Nora Jolly soon discovers that there's nothing quite like the breed known as The Bargain Book Hunter.

They start to arrive in droves to the little ancient Sussex town that lies in the shadow of the newly built castle, as anticipation for book bargains runs high in the countdown to Black Friday. Nora finds herself immersed in another week of literary madness, mayhem and chaos with an added sprinkling of romance and surprise and of course, lots of laughs thrown into her week for good measure.

Nora's boss, Georgina, is throwing a Thanksgiving dinner and the Duke of Cole is abseiling down the tallest tower of his castle; the books from Itchingfield are infested with fleas, Humphrey's battling pigeons and customers are pointing out to Nora that Robert Louis Stevenson is dead! Mrs Raven takes a tumble down the stairs but still wants a ten percent discount off of her ladybird book, Betty's getting Grisham books thrown at her, Felix starts his new enterprise as a ghost writer, and then there's Paperback Pam.

Regular customers and new faces join the bookshop madness in this sixth book in the hilarious, feel-good series of novels set in an English used and antiquarian bookshop. Join the bargain book hunters and the staff of The Secondhand Bookworm in the lead up to Black Friday for another week of laughs, smiles and a couple of twists in Black Friday at The Secondhand Bookworm!
