Although he died when he was only 15 years of age, St Dominic Savio’s great love for Our Lady and England are a wonderful example for us today. When just a little boy, Dominic vowed to receive Holy Communion often, that his friends would be Jesus and Mary and that he would rather die than sin. He studied at the Oratory founded by Don Bosco who recognised Dominic’s sanctity. Dominic was given a vision of England at a time when Pope Pius IX was working to help re-establish Catholicism in the country known as ‘Mary’s Dowry’. He founded the Sodality of Mary Immaculate and when he died left us a wealth of spiritual and practical insight and example that is very relevant for modern times. In this new DVD we learn about Saint Dominic Savio in a prayerful and informative film.
