Saint Mildred of Thanet:

We may not have heard of this classic female British Saint who is especially honoured in Kent, England, but her story shows the power of prayer and good Catholic devotion. She was the great, great granddaughter of a King of Kent who welcomed Saint Augustine on the Gregorian mission. When sent to study in France she learned quickly to face trials and dangers against the Faith. She eventually went on to enter the Catholic abbey of Minster-in-Thanet, which her mother had established, and became abbess there by 694. She was known famously as 'The Fairest Lily of the English' which makes devotion to her part of our Catholic heritage and history. Saint Mildred kept a relic of one of the nails used during Christ's Crucifixion as a treasured source of devotion. Our unique film production style has been praised worldwide for not only presenting facts and biographical information but a prayerful and spiritual film experience.
