DISC 1: Defender of the Mass: Saint Richard Gwyn:

Saint Richard Gwyn was renowned for writing daring poetry in the style of the Welsh bards to defend the truths and teachings of the Catholic Faith during a time of great persecution in England and Wales. He had a sharp wit, piety, devotion and love of family and Faith that saw him come to the notice of the anti-Catholic government. Fleeing with his family, Saint Richard Gwyn evaded conformist spies and Catholic hunters until a fateful meeting with a man only eager to hand him over to the authorities for coin. Locked up, placed in the gallows, preached to be Anglican clergymen, nothing deterred this fervent Catholic man from remaining firm in the outlawed Faith. He was sentenced to be hanged, drawn and quartered at Wrexham and heroically gave his life, leaving us a powerful witness today.

DISC 2: The Exorcist From the North: Saint Edmund Arrowsmith:

In a medieval tavern, a holy priest could often be found, captivating ordinary people and converting the most hardened sinners. For fifteen years he travelled England, pursued across counties by those who would stop him, bringing God to the outskirts, radiating holiness and thus inspiring many. Closing the distance of time between seventeenth century England an the present day, this Lancashire man can be held up as a light in the darkness of our time. The atmospheric music draws out the contemplative spirit of Saint Edmund Arrowsmith.

DISC 3: Soldier of the Cross: Saint Alexander Briant:

A touching and thought provoking journey with a very young and holy Catholic priest whose spiritual insight and wisdom of the Catholic Faith gave hope to the people of his day. Although linked to St. Edmund Campion, his story stands alone, edged with the mystical. From a young boy in Somerset to a young priest in the City of London, St. Alexander's story is filled with peace, encouragement and inspiration.

DISC 4: Saint Thomas More:

One of the most inspiring figures in English history, St. Thomas More was immensely holy even though he held one of the highest offices in the realm. At a difficult time in England's past, this man of faith stood his ground, placing God first, above all else. Moving and reflective, St. Thomas More's insights into prayer show us how we too can integrate a deep union of faith and morals with our daily life and work. Tudor music and haunting ethereal voices combine to lift this spiritual film to inspire each of us.

DISC 5: Blessed Margaret Pole:

The Countess of Salisbury and the Last of the Plantagenet's stood up against the father of her goddaughter, the Princess Mary Tudor, when he set out to destroy the Catholic Church in England. The Lady Margaret Pole was eventually sent to the infamous Tower of London and finally beheaded by order of King Henry VIII. From Cowdray House in Sussex, this film takes a look at the life of an English woman whose journey was linked to the Tudor Monarchy.

DISC 6: Saint John Fisher:

Almost everyone has seen "A Man For All Seasons" which focuses upon St. Thomas More, but the only other leading figure in Catholic Tudor England who placed God before the King was St. John Fisher, the Bishop of Rochester who was made Cardinal of England in the Tower of London. Beginning with his early life as a young boy, we follow St. John Fisher through the Tudor Courts, his assassination attempts on his life and his writings and holy family life.
