the inspiring life of Saint John who, along with Saint Teresa of Ávila, founded
the Discalced Carmelites. Saint John‘s
devotions, prayers, writings and poetry as well as his studies on the growth of
the soul are considered as well as his sufferings, love of the Passion and of
the Cross. He was a major figure of the
Counter-Reformation. His biography
contains a wealth of inspiration relevant for today.
